This Is Big Audio Dynamite without a shadow of a doubt.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I've said many times before that I rate TIBAD as highly as any Clash record.

Really hard for me to pick between TIBAD, No 10 and Megatop. I'd probably go for Megatop because it's fantastic from top to bottom even if there's nothing as good as Medicine Show, E=MC2 or Sightsee on there.

Hello,

Permanent Record has some of Joe's best post-Clash work - really good basic rock stuff.

I tend to jump around BAD albums but if I had to pick, I'd probably for with This is Big Audio Dynamite or F-Punk.

I don't dislike Havana 3AM but I don't put it on often (if that even qualifies as a post-Clash album) - I still infrequently put it on.

I really liked it when it came out, but the last time I played it, it seemed distinctly meh. Excellent sleeve, tho.

It likely comes under the banner "unpopular opinion" but i don't rate Permanent Record very highly, never did. It's fine, basic rock, as above described, but not very challenging nor very memorable for me.

It's dreadfully recorded. But with a better production could've been ok.

Your repair job however many years ago pointed the way forward.
