Alpha? Bet!

Post by Silent Majority »

A game I started my morning with.

First song that comes to mind for each letter of the alphabet. Has to be the first one you think of, has to be the first letter of the song's title. No 'the's or any other word before that first letter, no replacing with something cooler than the first title, no artist names. I couldn't use No, No, No by Dawn Penn for N because the title is (You Don't Love Me) No, No, No.

When Oops I Did It Again popped up in my head, I thought, oh good, I can use the Richard Thompson cover. But I had to be honest that it was Britney, bitch, who I first thought of. Honour system, lads and ladettes.

And, to make it a game, no repeated artists in your own picks. The only time you're to avoid your first choice now is if someone else has already picked it, making those freak letters - x, v, z, etc, increasingly hard as the game continues.

In hindsight moldy would have been a better pick than moody.

Today's broke a long string of success for me. I had the o and y by row 3, but my brain wouldn't let me think one letter filled the other spots.

When I fail, these are usually the types that get me. Ok it could be these 5 words but you have 3 chances left. That or my morning routine gets interrupted and I then forget about it.

The only time you're to avoid your first choice now is if someone else has already picked it, making those freak letters - x, v, z, etc, increasingly hard as the game continues.

I was not aware that this game was all about creeping authoritarianism.
