No repeated artists within your own list. Everyone can choose a different Black Sabbath song if they like.

Ok cool, I take back my overly harsh "worse than Doc" comment it was certainly uncalled for and I hope you can see fit to forgive me one day.

I need to go back and clear out what's been claimed so far (or if someone wants to flag those for me...) but this is my true list of the first shit that popped into my head:

Argie Bargy - Cock Sparrer
Bhindi Bhagee - Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros
Crazy - Patsy Cline
Doin' Time - Sublime
Everybody's Talkin' - Harry Nilsson
Fuck The U.S.A. - The Exploited
Gone Daddy Gone - Violent Femmes
Heat of the Night - Bryan Adams (oh god, brain misfire)
I Can Hear Music - The Beach Boys
Justice Tonight/Kick It Over - The Clash
Kansas City - Albert King (I was grasping for "King" something and this popped in there)
Little Miss Can't Be Wrong - The Spin Doctors (I am what I am)
Moon Over Marin - Dead Kennedys
Night Work - Scissor Sisters
Ooby Dooby - Roy Orbison
Pills - New York Dolls
Quick Joey Small - Slaughter & The Dogs
Rock Around the Clock - Bill Haley & His Comets
Shipbuilding - Elvis Costello
Tear it Down - Slapshot
Undone (The Sweater Song) - Weezer
V.F.W. - Negative FX
What's Love Got To Do With it? - Tina Turner
X'mas Time (It Sure Doesn't Feel Like It) - The Mighty Mighty Bosstones (this one was hard)
Yellow Ledbetter - The Peej (thanks Kory!)
Zyclone B Bathhouse - NOFX (this is actually the first song that popped into my head when this game was proposed)
I take it back about having to edit, somehow none of you fools picked any of these yet when I posted my list (I do notice some repeat artists - I wonder if seeing other people's choices subliminally puts some of them near the top of mind. What I'm saying is that I blame Hoy for me thinking of Bryan fucking Adams)

I'm playing and talking about this in class tomorrow.
Nice!
It went quite well. Indeed, when I played "Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows" at the end, one kid knew it and sang along. I think I also have them confused about me when I said I loved that song.

Inside all of us are two wolves. One of us is Swans and the other is sunshine lollipops and rainbows.

:ugeek:

Coincidentally enough, I was wearing a Swans shirt today. Two students commented. One is going to see them this fall and the other recently did a listening party with friends for To Be Kind. The latter said they're looking forward to my no wave lecture. I said that to get the proper Swans no wave experience, strap yourself in for the tour of hell that is Cop. If I never see them again, I'll assume they did and succumbed.
