Paul Weller has announced tour dates for the U.S. But as far as I can tell, only the CA dates are on sale yet.

4 - San Francisco, CA - The Fillmore
9 - Boston, MA - Berklee Performance Center
10 - New York, NY - Nokia Theatre
11 - New York, NY - Highline Ballroom
13 - Washington, DC - 9:30 Club
14 - Philadelphia, PA - Trocadero
16 - Chicago, IL - House of Blues

Shocker...not coming to St. Louis.

Hey, Fugazifan, do you live in DC? How's the 9:30 Club's new location? I know it's not actually new, but I haven't been to DC since I was in college there in the early 90's and it was at 930 F Street.

Yeah I'm in DC. The "new" club is a great, state-of-the-art facility. Great sound, great sight-lines. But I do kinda miss the old one, dumpy as it was. Do you remember DC Space which was next to the old club? That was a pretty cool spot too.

I don't remember DC Space...doesn't mean I wasn't there though. :shifty: I remember the bathrooms at the 9:30 club rivaled those of CBGB in terms of the ick factor. I saw a lot of great shows there though, I loved that dump.

How much are the American tickets?

The UK ones are amazingly expensive.

See you folks at the NYC dates.. Both nights probably..

Weeeeeeeeee...

$33.50 - $45.00 for the LA dates. Probably about the same for NYC.. Both the Nokia Theatre and Highline Ballroom hold about 2200.

That's because Weller never made more than a dent in the US. Most people my age have never heard of him. For that matter, most haven't even heard a Jam song period.

All's Weller that ends Weller.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

and that also didn't make much of an impact. I don't think America wants the Jam.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

Yes, it's another helping of boring Dadrock aided and abetted by his chummy rock mates Noel Gallagher, Ocean Colour Scene et al.
1/10.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

It's a good album, better than I expected.
Some songs are debatable, but all in all it's worth getting.

Just not the DVD one.
