His tastes are catholic, I'll give him that. Either that or he's rigging his lists to bait us. In which case stand and applaud the effort.

That song is absurdly catchy. It's basically a Jackson 5 song.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I got in the mood to listen to Zorn and his stuff just isn't on Spotify or Youtube. I'll have to dust off my cds I guess.

I think there's a small amount on Amazon Music but yeah, he doesn't participate in streaming services generally.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

I've studied the phenomenon of neo-provincialism in self-isolating online communities but this place takes the fucking cake.

I get avoiding streaming, just a minor annoyance as I don't have access to my collection at work. I WANT JOHN ZORN RIGHT NOW!

One of the many reasons to take in stride anyone that still makes fun of me for collecting physical media.

The only streaming we do in our household is television, no music at all, even though it's included with our Amazon Prime. I don't even like purchasing digital media, such as iTunes or Prime music, I prefer the physical object, CD's & vinyl. The only exceptions I've made is for things I can't obtain any longer, then I have to settle for a digital copy of it.
