God damn, what a mess Live is/was. I assumed Ed K (not going to look up how to spell his name) was the asshole in the band, kicking everyone out when he rejoined, but things are...more complicated than that.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

An insufficient number.

There's also this.
I remember one song, so thankful I managed to escape the rest....17 hits on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart over a period of 12 years...

Alternative charts is such a sad concept. Charts themselves are basically dumb, but charting music that ostensibly rejects the standards of pop like, well, charts … it's sad. The idea of being impressed or feeling cheated by alternative chart position is goofy as fuck.revbob wrote: ↑28 Feb 2023, 4:58pmThere's also this.

That was even surprising to me. I didn't hear that first album, but the one single has slap bass. I believe we discussed it on this thread. I can name - Selling the Drama, I Alone, Lightning, All Over You, Lakini's Juice?, Dolphins Cry. I had an old vhs of 120 Minutes that had a video of a song called "White, Discussion" so maybe that one too, but I don't think I had heard it otherwise. So that's 7, out of 17, and I'm a 90s god.revbob wrote: ↑28 Feb 2023, 4:58pmThere's also this.

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
Re: Hey Flex (All Encompassing 90's Glorification)
I still surprised how Ed K comes out generally unscathed. The two Chads fucking hate each other. I like how the one called the other out for being a Q Anon Trumper.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑28 Feb 2023, 3:46pmThe contempt exhibited by the parties is like Ray and Jello talking about the history of DKs.

Yeah, Ed K seems like he's just a guy who wants to play his shitty music, make money, and not get roped into fiber optic pyramid schemes. Pretty reasonable, tbqh. Feels like, possibly due to legalities, there are some huge, huge holes in the story. Gotta think the Primary Chad interviewed comes out as a much huger piece of shit when all the lawsuits are done. Plenty of hints of that already.matedog wrote: ↑28 Feb 2023, 6:01pmI still surprised how Ed K comes out generally unscathed. The two Chads fucking hate each other. The key questions to be asked are: Which one is Flex? Which one is Hoy? Which one is Kory?
