My new Gibson E-339 just arrived today. Cost the best part of a grand but plays like a dream...

Very nice! What's the weight like? Tried an SG a few years back and was surprised how heavy it felt.
I've been playing an SG for the last few years so I'm used to a heavy-ish guitar. This seems about the same weight. It is based on the E-335 but is a bit smaller, which suits me. Just fancied change as my SG is looking a bit worn out after 5 years of gig abuse.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board
