Those are strong words coming from a Genesis fan.
Wolter is a Genesis fan?

You disgust me, Wolt.
If this is even remotely true, this is the equivalent of the preacher caught with a trunkload of naked boys.
It's not even remotely true. I despise Genesis. Even with Peter Gabriel.

Hoy, stop the defamation.
Okay, what about you and the trunkload of naked boys?

That was performance art. Also, we were going to see KISS.

Ah, that takes me back. My stepbro had that album on tape.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Probably the only truly execrable genre I listen to is black metal. Also klezmer can be hokey and maudlin to some people, but I like it.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

I've studied the phenomenon of neo-provincialism in self-isolating online communities but this place takes the fucking cake.

Shitty Klezmer is shitty (ha, brilliant claim of the day), but you've turned me on to plenty of good and interesting stuff.

I think every genre has shitty and decent examples. Every one.

Well, except for Black Metal.

How about the "80s mainstream radio friendly AOR" genre?
Well, except for Black Metal.
You mean because it's all so superb, right? :shifty:

I dunno, you could probably file (pulls song out of the air) Somewhere in My Heart by Aztec Camera under that genre, that's a pretty good song.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board
