Can someone please explain Flogging Molly to me? The woman in front of us turned to VH, Jr, introduced herself as Dominique, and said that they were going to change his life. It seemed to me that all of their songs were about getting drunk and fighting, and I feel like that would just be like if I had a band and all of our songs were about controlling the weather and owning the banks.

i wonder what dominique's life was that flogging molly changed it? They're a pretty standard americanized irish-(punkish) rock band. I like em, mostly their first couple albums, but they're like... the definition of "national touring act that always comes on before the main headliner."

Also, your last comment got me thinking of the late, great Jewdriver - but then also there's a band I don't think I've ever actually hear but heard of called Moshiach Oi! You familiar with them? They're featured in a doc called Punk Jews - which I also haven't seen - but their first album was produced by Don Fury, so I'm intrigued.

I am not! But I love that they reclaimed that name from Screwdriver. I will check that out.

I've never seen them, heard a few albums. Not a fan of the singer and I think they lost their fiddle player from the very early days who definitely added something extra to the music. Life-changing seems like a bit of hyperbole.

I've spent a lotta time on hold w/ StubHub, I have a credit all the was back from a covid-cancelled baseball game in March 2020. It shows in my account that I have a credit and that its not expired, but I can't use it. There's no code and when I made my purchase yesterday it didn't use it automatically. So anyway, on hold w/ them, never expect to get a rep, but the recording keeps coming back and says that "you call is very impor-ent to us". IMPOR-ENT, like a teenager would say.
