Have you tried to get paxlovid or anything? Might be an option.
When my wife had covid tbry wouldn't give it to her. I suppose you need to be part of the liberal political elite to get it.

Wife is coming out of it pretty well (on day six). I was in rough shape last night, but nothing really worse than a bad cold or the flu - chills, couldn't eat, couldn't stay awake past 8. I think I feel better today, but we'll see how the evening goes. If it's real bad or doesn't get better, I'll seek paxlovid.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

On the plus side, Buddy Guy will be here as well as Trombone Shorty later in the Summer. Bruce is coming to Greensboro - tickets are $255 for nosebleed sections behind the stage - great view of the trunks and roadies.

He should just tell the doctor his case of covid is so bad that he's lost his sense of taste and now thinks "Throwing Copper" is good album.

More of a Secret Samadi guy?

Btw, wife is negative and I’m nearly negative. Finally had both kids back at daycare/school today though neither have tested negative. I’m still masking with them around until I’m negative. Don’t need them getting sick.

I thought the Eagles played a farewell tour at one point, or was it multiple times?

They've apparently survived the loss of Glenn Frey, so guessing they're going to keep going and going and going...

The Who aren't going to say goodbye until they're both dead.

Adding evidence to the premise that KISS is a marketing concept more than a band, Paul Stanley has suggested because the band is made up of characters, it could continue on after he and Gene hang it up for good. Just recast the parts.Nothing could better symbolize the death of rock music than KISS going on forever.

So in August 2019 I bought tickets to see Billy Bragg and after it being postponed around 3-4 times I finally saw him last Thursday night. He was playing the first three albums. I'll give a little review.

So the first three albums go for a combined 1 hour 30 minutes, and Billy was given a 2 hour set with no supports. So I figured he'd probably play every song and maybe even some of the extras because each album has extended versions with some good extra tracks.

What I actually got was probably half of each album, and a LOT of on stage banter. The venue wasn't the best for this. Probably 150% of the people that could reasonably fit and be able to see the stage. I'm used to punk gigs / bands, not solo artists and everyone more or less stood there in the same spot and didn't fear the mosh pit, so my usual tactic of pushing my way to the front failed miserably! Plus it was a sea of surprisingly tall 60 year olds (I'm 40 and 6 foot). But he did play all of the important songs and in a pretty good set list order. I would have preferred he played at least 4 songs in a row before going to banter mode, instead of 3 minutes of music and 5 minutes of talking. But I guess if I was closer it would have been better. Too many people were having their own conversations around me so I couldn't even hear him.

The biggest surprise of the night was the prime minster of Australia walking in front of me when I was lining up for a pint at the bar. He'd just had a piss and was heading back to whatever special spot they had for him on the balcony, and wasn't exactly surrounded by secret service or anything (but that's Australia for you). It was pretty good to know the bloke running the country at least has nostalgia for socialist ideals.
