Las Vegas is only a 4 hour drive from LA,
usedta be, now the only way to make it in 4 hours is if you drive from 2am - 6am
We reach the parts other combos cannot reach
We beach the beachheads other armies cannot beach
We speak the tongues other mouths cannot speak

So it seems the only two shows from my original glorious pile that have been rescheduled rather than canceled are Dead Can Dance and TMBG. I wonder how that decision was made. For the ones that might come around again, I'll be looking forward to the Bad Seeds and Ringo Deathstarr, though I suspect I probably won't have another chance for Squarepusher or Poliça.

looks like Cruel World is back on for 2022. I won't be able to host visitors as I'll have left LA by then, but we'll work something out
Marc Almond didn't reschedule? Boo

"Jay Aston's Gene Loves Jezebel"? GLJ were pretty lame the first time around, but a modified name that says you won (or maybe lost?) a court case about it is even lamer.

Hello,

While I would enjoy quite a few of these bands, I'm betting on pacemaker delays at security screening.

That's quite a coin flip of a lineup.

With impending dadhood on the way this fall, I'll be for sure going to this as who knows then the fuck I'll be doing such things again. And punk rock + craft beer is pure flex-bait. Y'all should fly out and join in for this one. Gonna be in a park right in downtown denver in the arts district, fucking stoked.

I don't think so. What do you think? I haven't even listened. I honestly don't know if I've loved anything they've put out since Coaster, although I respect what Fat Mike has been doing for the last 10+ years, very confessional.

So about a year ago I bought tickets for what I thought was Social Distortion but turned out instead to be a Social Distortion cover band called Social Destruction (they even had the skelton holding the martini in the ad). Anyway one good thing about Covid the show was canceled under threat of being rescheduled and I just got word it is canceled I got my refund.

It feels very short, but that may be because Mike said they had like 40+ songs so I was expecting something of the length of Wolves or something. It is even more confessional, and pretty rockin'. I liked it.

Just for kicks, acts I've seen since last participating in this:

-Jerry Lee Lewis
-Willie Nelson
-Wanda Jackson
-Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
-X
-Ex Hex
-Mitski
-Lucinda Williams
-James McMurtry
-Harry Dean Stanton
-Real Sleater-Kinney (this post-Janet stuff is *terrible*)
-Sturgill Simpson
-Mike Watt

Good bucket list items to scratch off. Hoping to see Bob Dylan again soon when things reopen, and to see X play their new album, but beyond that there really isn't anything I'm too hot on. Turns out I'm more of a repertory screening jerk now because I saw everybody I wanted to see.
