I saw the Damned last night, supported by the Nightingales. I haven’t heard much of the Nightingales, but have seen the excellent King Rocker documentary, so was expecting quite a lot of banter between songs. In fact there was none, not even pauses between the songs. Presumably due to time constraints. I might need to do a bit more investigating about them.

The Damned were excellent. Not that much chat from them either, it felt like they were really focused on performing the new album rather than getting distracted by the Captain messing around. The new stuff sounds good, but obviously the stuff we actually knew got the biggest reactions.

Indeed!

Lively Arts and Blackout from the Black Album, Love Song , Smash It Up and Machine Gun Etiquette from MGE and Born To Kill, Neat Neat Neat and New Rose from the first album. I think you would have enjoyed it.

Damned fine stuff. Never seen a bad Damned gig and I've seen a lot.

There was a very misguided young lady at the Bikini Kill show that was wearing an Exploited shirt.

There are a lot of punk fans who are dumber than dirt. (Sorry, Flex.)

The sad part is it's not true.

If someone (doc) buys me a ticket I'll throw feces at Coachella and carry on the spirit of Hologram GG Allin

Just promise me you'll hit Taylor Swift and we have a deal.

You do know Hoy (the resident swifty) will turn you in though.

Eh, I mildly enjoy her stuff. Def not a Swifty per se, though I did see her live once in 2018 or so and it was pretty good.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

It seems to me that a love of poo throwing shouldn't be conditional on someone fronting money first.
