I was looking at a listing of shows in upstate NY that have been canceled for the summer and saw this curiosity

Aug. 20: Kenny Chesney with Michael Franti & Spearhead - POSTPONED

fuck the heck?

Actually, they probably draw similar crowds now.

This does not bode well for the Iron Reagan / Ray Stevens tour.

I haven't followed Franti in quite a few years.

DHoH was a great band and Spearhead was too for a while.

Yeah, Beatnigs, DHoH and early Spearhead is all great. I'd say he's become sort of a jimmy buffet "good vibes" type performer these days, but for people who like a bit more "one world" type flair at their shows. I could see there being a big crossover with a "drinkin' beer in the hot sun and tailgating" crowd of a chesney concert, tbqh.

So he's like a Dave Matthews kind of guy now.

Hello,

I'm similar as I like Disposable Heroes of Hiphopcrisy. His All Rebel Rockers was really good - after that, kind of meh. It makes sense for him to pursue the laid back love everybody crowd.

I hope they reschedule. That was my favorite show last year. And OI hope they reconsider and come here again.

Murphy's Law...whatever happened to those guys? Also, I thought WASP and Dave Edmunds was a lineup and that would have been...interesting.
