I saw X once, but never got a chance to see the Avengers, so I'd be all over that if they happened to be playing together in my area.BR16ADE_R055E wrote: ↑28 Jul 2021, 10:14pmI saw X and the Avengers at a festival on Sunday. So what's your concert schedule looking like?

I think is enjoy this one. The right kind of variety.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

X and the Avengers were great. The Avengers are the first punk band to ever play the Stern Grove Festival, which has been around a very long time (this year is the festival’s 84th season). It was X’s first show in about 19 months.Sparky wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 11:45amI saw X once, but never got a chance to see the Avengers, so I'd be all over that if they happened to be playing together in my area.BR16ADE_R055E wrote: ↑28 Jul 2021, 10:14pmI saw X and the Avengers at a festival on Sunday. I enjoyed Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. It was their first proper concert since February 2020. They played some deeper tracks. Here's a vid I did:

Joan sounding in great voice. That's a great looking venue. Thanks for sharing Gil.

It was a "Rock Camp" performance; band members get group lessons, four rehearsals, and then play a one-off show of 6-7 songs. The theme of this band was The Runaways, so we played Cherry Bomb, Kiss Me Deadly, 3 Joan Jett songs, Take it Off by The Donnas, and similar stuff.

I occasionally do these to challenge myself with new genres or when I'm between bands and have the itch to get back on stage.
Plus, they are great networking opportunities to meet new musicians to maybe form a band.

Yeah, I optimistically got tickets for Caroline Polachek and Marc Maron in addition to the rescheduled Dead Can Dance and TMBG dates from 2020 but I'm not going to get my hopes up for any of it.revbob wrote: ↑23 Aug 2021, 6:32pmThere will be others.Sparky wrote: ↑23 Aug 2021, 6:16pmPixies just canceled their 2021 tour due to concerns about the COVID 19 outbreak.
