Roxy Music one week from tonight at MSG. A definite bucket list concert for me and not a band I ever thought I'd see live. No Eno, but 4 of the 5 core members.

On my list as well, how was it?

I'll tell you next week. It's on the 12th ;).

I have high hopes. I know Ferry's voice has lost some of its top range, but from clips I've heard - he understands that and doesn't push it.

Second time lucky......
After Hugh Cornwell cancelling Norwich gig and i cant make his rescheduled gig in December i have now just booked Southend Chinneries in November lets hope he doesnt lose his voice again

I have heard great reviews about the chinneries a small and personal place to see bands i think this will be a good one so good in fact i might even buy Hugh a drink :)
I saw Hugh last month at Stone Valley, I wasn't expecting much and was very impressed.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

They certainly can't keep their goddamn commitments.

J/K, apparently it's illness-based, which must be pretty bad if they canceled a whole tour that takes place next year.

Oh that is really cool to hear
I will be the same as you and not have very high expectations and if it turns out to be great then its a real bonus. I didn't think i would ever bother to see Hugh live but just in the last few years i have found all his solo stuff just so addictive i thought i better catch him before its too late and he hangs his fender up.

Sounds very nice as well. Not a huge fan per se but I'm sure he's got a lot of interesting stories to tell.

One thing I like about Rollins is that he's a big, dorky enthusiastic fan. There's no cynical cool there, just teenage enthusiasm.

And he absolutely LOATHES U2. I saw his spoken word right after Joe died and he spoke very beautifully about him.
