I think I'm going to pull the trigger on Roxy tickets. I've been a RM/Bryan Ferry since I was a teenager. My only concern is how decent his voice is. I found a few clips and it seems like he's lost the top end of his range, but has adjusted comfortably into a lower register.

Some good impassioned vocal work and the way the band ups the energy just the right touch at around 2:30 is perfect for this kinda music. 6.5/10

It was a really fun show even if his new stuff is a bit more pop punk than I'd like. He's a got a great stage presence and just flies around the stage as shown in this clip. The crowd was really into it and it reminds me of what I miss from live music.

Saw Lakou Mizik last night. A band from Haiti that is blending traditional Haitian music with various other styles to try and bring the old music to the younger generations. I would say not unlike the Pogues did with Irish music. Not the best description perhaps but it will have to do my head's still a bit cloudy from last night it was a lot of fun. I even did a bit of skanking last night. If you get a chance to see them live, do it.

Bob has played some of the loudest shows I've ever been to. Sugar back in the 90's might have been the loudest show I ever experienced.

70 seems steep, how much are the Bob Mould tix? That said I saw him wow, over 17 years ago now. I dont recall the cost but it was a good show, just him and his guitar half acoustic/half electric. Very personable. chatting with people after and signing autographs and such. Im disappointed he's not hitting VT this time but apparently his Montreal booking fell thru so he's skipping us too.

I saw them on the File Under Easy Listening tour in 1994. First song was "Gift" and when Mould started playing I could feel the sound waves hit me in the chest.

I saw Grant Hart play a similar show maybe 15 years ago (opening for Alex Chilton of all people). It was just Grant and his guitar. He chatted with the audience during the set, telling stories, taking requests. It was awesome.

Mould was like $40 which was fine. I've been a fan of his for 35 years and seeing him in a 200 seat venue seems worth it. Bragg would be fun but I am more of a passive fan so the price felt wrong.
