Sitty down venue as well last night. Not good. Full day at work and five pints of premium lager, I was struggling to keep my eyes open. Whitley Bay Playhouse. And the bar closed 15 mins after Wilko came onLow Down Low wrote: ↑18 Feb 2022, 7:20amTwo absolute legends. Wilko is amazing just to stay going, really want to see him one more time while it's possible. Even a sub par Wilko is alright by me.
All seater venues for rock gigs is something I'll never get used to, i try to avoid as much as possible.white man wrote: ↑18 Feb 2022, 9:59amSitty down venue as well last night. Not good. I got to meet Jesse Malin after a DGen reunion show a couple years ago. He (and Danny and Rich) were nice people. I didn't attempt to talk to Michael.JChampion wrote: ↑18 Feb 2022, 1:07pmSo, I'm working back into concert mode. I will say I've been slow with covid restrictions and the cold weather but that's changing.
Here's what I have coming up...
In March:
Jeremy and The Harlequins @ The Saint in Asbury Park, NJ (Rock band out of Brooklyn)
Jesse Malin & Willie Nile @ Stone Pony in Asbury Park
Gary Allan @ Penns Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA (Outlaw Country)
April:
Old 97's @ Crossroads in Garfield, NJ (This is a maybe)
Jack White @ The Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville (Wife is happy, I'm happy, a mini Vacation, she gets lots of country and I get Jack White)
June:
Fitz and the Tantrums @ Levitt Pavilion Steel Stacks in Bethlehem, Pa
Barefoot Country Festival on the Beach in Wildwood, NJ
August:
Elvis Costello and The Imposters @ Parx Casino in Bensalem, Pa (I've never seen Elvis, probably should have seen him in the 80's!)

Cancelled Manchester last night. Unwell. If he gets back on his feet I would make every effort to get out and see him.Low Down Low wrote: ↑18 Feb 2022, 7:20am

Yeah, might have to plan a trip soon as don't see him heading my way anytime in the near future. Just hope it's not a relapse or anything so serious.white man wrote: ↑20 Feb 2022, 5:14amCancelled Manchester last night. Unwell. I got a set list from him at one of his Light of Day shows but I haven’t the pleasure of meeting him.Kory wrote: ↑18 Feb 2022, 2:55pmI got to meet Jesse Malin after a DGen reunion show a couple years ago.
