Divine Symmetry is very good, a little repetitive and you may already have most of the BBC sessions. there are stereo and mono versions of the "In Concert John Peel" aka "Crash Course for the Ravers" Boot. It does contain a very good upgrade to the Friars, Aylesbury, 25th September, 1971 gig.

If you like folky pre Ziggy Bowie this is a good one but you might already have most of it.

Speaking of this new series of archival releases that are associated with the lead-up to specific albums (Conversation Piece, Width of a Circle, Divine Symmetry, and I guess Toy:Box counts for Heathen), what are some opinions around them? I'm probably going to pick them all up very soon, given that it seems like they're going to do one that's associated with each album and I'm looking forward to Diamond Dogs-era stuff. I'll have to grab them all because I hate incomplete collections.

I've got all of them and they are pretty good, little repetitive with the BBC sessions. conversation Piece is especially because it collects all the early demos with Hutch and also has an excellent remix, not remaster, of the Man of Words.../Space Oddity album.

Toy is also good because it's not what leaked 15 years ago, it's different and very good.

They are all good, I have all of them and am happy with them...but then I'm a bit of a Bowie nut

This is useful information. I have that leak, so I wasn't sure if I should bother with the box. Well, as a Bowie nut myself, looks like I'll be picking them up!

I fancied getting the 'Divine Symmetry' box, 4cd & blu ray, and saw the Amazon price. I got in contact with my local shop, Thirteen Records in Dundee (there's a Big Star in the window) and they are matching the price. Great folk in the shop, and good to spend the money in my locality.

I would like it but I'm convinced the price will drop in the new year. Especially as some of it is basically bootleg quality.

Always better to keep money away from Scamazon if you can.

That description of the transfer process, despite not being AAA, is pretty compelling. I may be in for this.

I wish the picture disc was a half speed master.
