Just received his new book - cost a fortune but got a “signed” copy? It’s done in pen but is it his signature?
His last book was called Anger is an Energy, is this an even newer one?
It is. A book of lyrics I think.
It is a book of “observations”, no lyrics, having had a quick glance through it. I think the quick glance might be enough - money making scam quite frankly - and I fell for it!!!
That's a shame mate. I saw the book advertised a while back and thought initially it was another version of Mr. Rotten Scrapbook" which sold for a stupid price on release. Maybe it'll become collectable and make you back some dough at least.
Yeah, hold onto it a couple years and sell it on eBay.

New interview with Lydon. Nothing especially revelatory except, if he were truthful, he voted for Hillary, meaning that Trump as president, not candidate, caused him to switch his opinion. Which, well, wow. Plus there's the predictable shot at Joe for the crime of not being born working class.

Sadly, i have slowly, over a period of months, added JL to the list of artists whose music i will gladly listen to, but switch off when they are talking.

I've seen the bit where he talks about Lydon. Basically just saying we shouldn't be surprised that an old punk is still trying to outrage people.

Ricky like John seems out of touch.

It suggests a certain contempt for the general public that we should regard equally all outrageous statements or actions. But then Gervais doesn't understand the difference between punching up and punching down with his humour, and so he thinks his critics are sanctimonious and phoney, when, in fact, those of us appalled by him and Lydon and Morrissey and etc are working from a moral foundation that he and they lack.

Lydon is as demented as his wife. With him, tho, it's a choice. Welcome to Morrisseyland, you old fuckface.

That's what I meant in my second sentence. Certainly not intended as a slight on his wife.

No real need to mention her at all. Kill John by all means but that comparison struck me as ill thought.

Fair enough, I can see where my comparison might be seen as tasteless. My gut overruled my heart and brain.

 I knew not releasing my cover album of That What Is Not was wise in the long run.

People be ready for that around 2050.
