Also, I had no idea they did Pistols songs at points in their career.
It was around that time that he started sporadically using the Rotten name again. Once Levene was gone and it was a one-man band, in essence, he dropped his official disinterest in his past.

6 sounds about right—maybe 3 from Happy?, 2 from 9, 1 from TWIN. And, yes, the current version of PiL is quite strong, the singer aside (how weird is that?).
— Seattle, Hard Times, Fat Chance Hotel
— USLS 1, Worry
— Uhh, I'm not sure where you're going with this one
I'd probably substitute "The Body" for "Hard Times" and "Disappointed" for "Worry," and "Acid Drops" off TWIN. Of those six, FCH and USLS1 are the only ones I'd truly get behind.
I generally like the songs you want to substitute here, but I am often turned off by the corny female backing vocals on them.

Did they make videos for those albums? Maybe that could be my next deep dive...
Yes, they did vids for Seattle, Disappointed, The Body, Warrior, Cruel, and Covered. Also for Don't Ask Me, if you want to count a song that was created just for the greatest hits album that came out between 9 and TWIN.

Do not disagree at all. It's an element that I have to look past

Johnny for the environment! A really terrible song that just apes on the dancey pop going on around at the time.

edit:

It, um, really is not good.

Good for him. Cutting himself off from the pleasure of performance wouldn't help him grieve. Do the things that make you feel like you so you don't get caught in the black pit.

I had genuine concerns that the man was going to drink himself to death, so I also think this is a healthy choice. I'll see him live again.

Me too. I agree that this will help him grieve in a healthy way. They had such a loving relationship and he must feel so lost.

That is really not appealing at all. It struck me as a satire of Laibach. If this is indicative of the upcoming album, That What Is Not will be elevated out of the basement.

I don't really know what to make of it. Sounds like some old hippie thing. The type of dirge punk tried to wipe out. Don't get me wrong here I don't expect anything resembling Metal Box or Flowers of Romance but boy that is dull.

I agree with you about the dull dirge thing, but it sounds too faux-heavy to me to be hippie. With this version of the band to this point, I've been basically fine with the music, but, yeah, both this and that Hawaii thing are bafflingly weak.

I probably should've been clearer. Musically it's a dirge but lyrically it's very hippie

Or a D & D manual narrative. I apologize, John, let's go back to "you, you make me angry." :disshame:
