A good read thanks. I agree with some of his comments. Others like Brexit he tarnishes too many of us with the same brush. But he always comes across as an honest guy.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑11 Aug 2022, 5:12pmLengthy interview with Wobble: https://the-shortlisted.co.uk/jah-wobbl ... interview/

He strikes me as a less acerbic, less predatory version of Mark E. Smith. That is, still working class at heart and applies that no-nonsense work ethic, just producing and producing because that's what you do.Marky Dread wrote: ↑11 Aug 2022, 6:56pmA good read thanks. Because I bought his memoir, I'm on Pete Jones' email list. He's sold out the print copies of his book, so he's making it available for free as a pdf: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jiyvoy7aqombk ... 1.pdf?dl=0

I noticed that you cant down load the pdf and view only but a little tip for every one if you copy the link that the Doctor kindly gave above and post it with a small change of turning the "0" at the end of the link to a "1" it will automatically download to a full pdf file for you
Or use this link but copy it still into the address bar of a new page

Interesting and good to know for the future! There is a download button on the page, but making it automatic is better.NoMoreHugh wrote: ↑12 Aug 2022, 11:19amThat is so cool thanksDr. Medulla wrote: ↑12 Aug 2022, 10:59amBecause I bought his memoir, I'm on Pete Jones' email list. What i get is direct to the pdf file as a scaled down pdf reader with the only option is to scroll down so no tools at all not even the download button.
Im not too sure yet if its because its viewing through a dropbox tool through my device or because i am using a chromebook that is causing the issue
it is weird

Man, that's weird. You'd think the internet is growed up enough that web pages wouldn't vary that wildly depending on browser and OS.

It's the bane of my professional existence. Even FF and Chrome used to render things pretty much the same but they've been diverging from each other for years now.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑12 Aug 2022, 1:44pmMan, that's weird. Re: Public Image Limited
Even for key action elements like a download button? That's seriously strange to me. I get if layout can be screwy, but outright omitting elements is nuts.Kory wrote: ↑12 Aug 2022, 2:12pmIt's the bane of my professional existence. Yeah the built-in PDF viewers on browsers are mostly different, and completely missing in some browsers.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑12 Aug 2022, 2:15pmEven for key action elements like a download button?
