That would make you more a Lydon fan than Levene fan.
Can’t it be both?
Lydon equals drunk on booze; Levene equals strung out on junk.
Surely Lydon's equally at home with a spliff
Bah, that's not addiction.

Watched the documentary this morning over breakfast. Not a huge surprise that it's an extension of his last memoir. John's a great guy, he's loyal, he's a hard worker, he's been fucked over time and again by people he works with but still loves them all. There's a certain irony that the documentary makes PiL out to be the story of one man's efforts, yet he constantly talks about how it's supposed to be a group effort … and it's the others who failed at that. He puts a lot of emphasis on the childhood meningitis experience and losing his memory and how traumatic that was, how it shaped his character—both being wary and elevating loyalty. If you've read his book, there isn't much here that will change your views, I don't imagine.

Ahh man those vocals are fucking awful. Should be an instrumental.
I won't say I like them—as in, I'd like to have a conversation with some who talks like that—but they fit the approach to the cover.
They are awful because they are trying too hard to mimic Lydon. John's voice is distinct and that gives him his uniqueness. I've never heard anyone who tries to imitate him ever sound any good.

I don't think it's an active attempt to mimic Lydon. The guy just has a hideous vocal tone.

Seriously you gotta be joking. He apes the phrasing and tries and fails desperately to mimic Lydon's tonality.
Here is his more usual shouty punk vocal which doesn't sound like Lydon.
