Given his history of depression, it's a particularly troubling report. I hope he's well and gets the treatment he needs.
Never heard this before.

He talks about it in his auto bio as hitting him in his early 60s and that his dad likely had depressive episodes that were undiagnosed. Here's an article kinda summarizing it:

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Looks like it’s a developing story. Blowing a .02 maybe just means he’s a shitty driver.

yeah, i don't know how you can even be charged DWI if you're below the legal limit. He was just being Hot Shit (or self imagined Hot Shit) in a car and a Cop decided to go Cop It Up and overcharge, imho.

I don't want to condone drinking and driving but .02 is like having one beer and then waiting an hour or so. The real riddle hear is how in the hell Bruce Springsteen got in trouble for anything short of murder in Jersey. This doesn't make any sense.

Either cop was a Mellancamp fan or he was still pissed about 41 Shots.

Best case scenario is that BS got sassy about police violence and the cop got amped up.

Another "reputable" source: https://nypost.com/2021/02/11/bruce-spr ... SocialFlow
The “Born to Run” icon, 71, had been riding his motorcycle on the peninsula on Nov. 14 when he “was spotted by fans who asked him to pull over and take some pictures,” according to a source close to Springsteen.

“Bruce stopped, took the pictures, then a fan offered him a shot of liquor, which he took, while sitting on his bike, which was stationary,” the source said.

“Park Police saw what happened and they immediately pulled Springsteen over as he drove away.”

In what seems a bit like a Hard Times headline, but is actually true, rebel rocker Bruce has started a podcast with serial killer Barack Obama.

Let's pair two archetypal mainstream liberals and call it … Renegades!

That Jeep money coming in handy:
After pleading guilty to the consuming alcohol in a closed area charge, Springsteen, who has no prior criminal history, was handed down a $500 fine. When asked how long he needed to pay the fine, Springsteen told the judge, “I think I can pay that immediately, your Honor.”
