A video of people in the 60s doing the Twist to this would be perfect.

Listening to the latest of their seasonal ep's (Winter), and, yup, it's Weezer doing Weezer songs. They are the epitome of an okay band.

I listened to all four of the eps. There's a solid album in there. He did get a bit more interesting on the last two eps, throwing in time signature and key changes. I really do enjoy that over their self aware, self referential attempts at modernity. Also, it feels more like a Rivers solo project. I couldn't even make out if Brian was doing the harmony vocals. So it lacked a little of that Weezer touch of the rest of the band. Or that was all in my head.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

That's...a lot of albums.

Just the one with the original lineup. Beyond that it gets messy. Even Heston's favorite Never Say Die isn't very good.

Interesting that the hard times has pivoted to doing straight news and commentary.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead

I'm bothered that either one of us is covertly writing for it or we're being spied upon.

Eh, he’s got a similar problem as Bruce where he’s a bad judge of his own material. I’m fine, particularly in the age of steaming with having him offload material. Makes album releases less of an event but whatever.

It’s also interesting that they release all this material and their tours are all just GH sets. They did do a secret show recently and played Paperface for the first time since 93.

I don't think I've seen this before, it's extremely funny:

"I'm ride or die."

"...for Weezer?"

Hoy is much blacker and boobier than I thought.
