The Led Zeppelin Thread
Okay, so we can all do a top 5 or whatever, but I was thinking it might be interesting to see if we all had to pick our favorite song off of each album. You know, gotta pick the favorite child kind of thing.

And, all of yours were close seconds for me. I spent about a minute staring at LZII's tracklist and trying to decide between your choice and mine.Flex wrote:Wolt, all your changes would have been close seconds for me. Damn, what a deep catalog.

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Just refreshed my memory of it. It sounds like the background music to a local channel's weekly sports highlights reel circa 1986.Wolter wrote:EXACTLY.matedog wrote:It's like CTC played by capable musicians for ten minutes.Wolter wrote:I mostly just quoted Flex, but I have few changes in there.

I'd just like to add that D'yer Mak'er is a fine tune, as well.
Re: The Led Zeppelin Thread
Ozone Baby kinda sucks. And agreed on Poor Tom, Flex. In fact, I thought I came up with this awesome syncopated Garibaldi beat back in the day but then I realized I was just playing the Poor Tom beat but with my right hand on the hi hat, not the snare.
