I'll be honest, the reason why I was looking up photos of The Big Bopper was because I'm still obsessed with the Buddy Holly boning Little Richard's wife story while LR watched. Because they are inextricably linked, I started thinking about Little Richard watching Richie Valens and/or The Big Bopper as well with his wife and whether or not Little Richard (and his wife) missed out on any potential hunks.

Little Richard probably would have been into Valens' age/ethnicity (probably would have referred to him as "little Latin boy" or something). Now I can't imagine Big Bopper doing anything without that damn phone. I would hope he'd be well hung based on his nickname and general size, so that'd be exciting, but Little Richard would probably get annoyed by BB using a stupid prop throughout the act.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

That's hilarious.

I am listening to a work zoom call about fighting hunger during COVID and I can't stop laughing about Hoy's post.

The wife of a good friend is (semi- or mock) annoyed with me because I described Huey Lewis as store-brand vanilla ice cream in a white cup. But what part of that is even remotely incorrect?

Spot on.
I use vanilla all the time in this context but surprising how many people don’t get it.

Vanilla, Wonderbread, Coors/Bud/Miller, lowest common denominator.
