Listening now, it's fairly interesting. Very much a sound collage experiment, but sounds a LOT like a late Crass album, especially with the amount of hectoring vocals.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 1:11pmHave you bought this? Tho I'm not (sorry to say) a Fugazi fan—love the principle, the music has never fully appealed—the concept of this sounds wonderful.

I'm not sure I would ever listen to this again, but it's certainly worth one listen.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑29 May 2020, 3:59pmRecommend or is it one-listen-and-done thing?Kory wrote: ↑29 May 2020, 3:47pmListening now, it's fairly interesting. Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread
Listening to the radio on a long road trip home they were playing 3 songs in a row by each artist. Most were pretty good but then they said Van Halen.
I thought I didn’t know 3 songs by Van Halen and turns out I was right!!

There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Good album but went downhill after that, recovered with 1984 but when Hagar took over, he made some of their best material.Heston wrote: ↑01 Jun 2020, 4:16amFirst album or gtfo.BitterTom wrote: ↑01 Jun 2020, 4:09amIf it was Hagar era you were in for a treat.101Walterton wrote: ↑01 Jun 2020, 3:31amListening to the radio on a long road trip home they were playing 3 songs in a row by each artist. Aztec Camera covered Jump and it's way better than VH.

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread
Kinks "Where Have All the Good Times Gone" (especially live version) has a similar into to Sex Pistols "Problems"

I listened to the live version of "Good Times" from the "On the Road" album and the closest I can hear is the riff to "New York". But I can't hear the similarity in "Problems".
