The Mighty Musical Observations Thread
Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread
A friend of mine from college got to hang out with Tina and Chris when they were producing a Ziggy Marley album and he said Tina and Chris were absolutely lovely people. How they haven't been driven to murder by Byrne is beyond me. I love that they've been married for over 40 years.
Got a Rake? Sure!

The real mystery is how Talking Heads continued for as long as it did. I read a TH bio some years back and that was my chief takeaway—it just sounded like misery for all involved from around '79 onward.JennyB wrote: ↑22 Jul 2020, 1:48pmA friend of mine from college got to hang out with Tina and Chris when they were producing a Ziggy Marley album and he said Tina and Chris were absolutely lovely people. Were Genesis Better in the ’70s or ’80s?
Trick question, they always sucked.

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

According to Grammy.com, THE CLASH is responsible for one of the most distinguished discographies in rock: a collection of six sonically diverse albums, recorded and released during the band's short nine-year stint.
