It's definite that Mark E. Smith, Vini Reilly, all of Joy Division (minus Stephen Morris), Tony Wilson, plus Devoto and Shelley were there. I think there are others, but that's all I can think of now. Considering there were only, like, 50 people, many roped in by McLaren being a carnie barker outside, it's remarkable.

edit: Whoops, others answered before me.
Wilson is largely believed to have been at the second show, not the first (despite what he claimed). Ian Curtis too, I believe.
I thought that was where BS and PH met IC. So it was the second one?
According to Hooky, he was at the second gig, but they didn't really get to talking until the third visit by the Pistols at the Electric Circus.
My life is a complete lie. Well, that part where I thought all that happened at the first show. Still.
The movies have poisoned history. Not that that's the case with you, but it certainly makes a cooler story.

All movies or just the talkies?

Mick Hucknall was not at the concert on June 4, but he was among the people present on July 20.

You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet is often derided as this hoary old FM staple but it really is fantastic. The funk guitars are brilliant and the stammering but perfectly phrased vocal is outstanding.

I've always liked this track. I also love John Ottways version.

Damn, I was looking for that Mickey Spillane front page story mockup about chin music but it looks like I didn't save a copy (I think I first got it from Gene).

Those first few Mike Hammer novels are gorgeous madness to behold. Hammer is a psychopath who just happens to sort of be a good guy.

It's so funny you put it that way—I was just reading a review of the Ms. Tree series in a pretty old Comics Journal that said the same thing about her almost verbatim.
