19 albums Pitchfork would rescore if they could

Don't know about you, but I can finally sleep easy knowing that Moth by Chairlift has been bumped from 7.6 to 8.5.
God, even pulling their head out of their ass, they still write like their head is up their own ass.
At least they acknowledge being obnoxious in the Rilo Kiley and Liz Phair reviews. But yeah, a lot of this is dumb.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Yeah, those ones stuck out as being genuinely deserving o mea culpas. Most of the others are navel gazeling nonsense.

My cheesy cover band is debating between playing Blur Song 2 and Hives' Hate to Say.... Given this will be for drunk folks in the middle of a set with ACDC, Zeppelin, RHCP, etc., what would be a better song to play?
Song #2. They might recognize it from a commercial.
Hello,

Song #2. Drunk people love to shout "Woo hoo" - so I've heard.

Man, that was 12 years ago and that band broke up 6 years ago (pretty good run). I think we played Hives more often but no one except me liked playing that one. The songs that always got the biggest reactions were "Crazy Train" and "Summer of 69."

For some reason, I always mix up the choruses in Summer of '69 and Livin' on a Prayer — they sort of fit each other seamlessly (both ways).

Summer of 69 can fuck off, Livin' on a Prayer though, yeah, I can have a good boogie to it.

Just gave them some spins and ran right to Zeppeln's BBC Sessions to cleanse the palate.
