TIL the Dead Kennedy's version of I Fought The Law is about the assassination of Harvey Milk. I recently learned about the "Twinkie defense" and finally it all clicked into place.

Yeah, I mean, it happened almost a decade before I was born and it's not like something you're taught about in schools (or I wasn't, anyways). I just thought it was about how cops are fashy and like junk food.
