Unfortunately I was too young to see Blondie or the Ramones when they played the Whiskey, but once I was a bit older, I did see quite a few shows there.
I was (am?) old enough to have worked at Licorice Pizza records way back when I was in college.

The one and only time I saw Kinks was at the Forum for "Come Dancing" , 83 I guess?

Hello,
I saw the Kinks in 1979 at the Palace theater in Albany, NY - front row! I think it's on the One From The Road album. Ray Davies spilled a beer on my head! I saw them in Glens Falls, NY in 1983 with Ian Hunter as support. I'm old but I've seen some good shows.

My punk class watched that last year. I think I saved a lot of kids' souls, with an assist from Quincy.

Well why Detective Monihan was just a stupid drunk without Quincy figuring out all the muurders. And you my friend are no Detective Monihan.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑15 Nov 2021, 9:47pmMy punk class watched that last year. I think I saved a lot of kids' souls, with an assist from Quincy.

Even innocuous am radio stars could not escape the Satanic fantasy of overprotective Christian parents – in the famously-mocked educational film Rock? It’s Your Decision a teenager realizes that he is committing a sin just by listening to rock music – and is seen holding up a Billy Joel record while voicing this realization.

Also did you use my super cool Quincy punk rock mix in your lecture?Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑15 Nov 2021, 9:47pmMy punk class watched that last year. I think I saved a lot of kids' souls, with an assist from Quincy.
