Is it "Missing You" by John Waite?

Spot on. Thank you, that was really annoying me, been through hundreds of easy listening/smooth playlists in an attempt to find it. What a tune though.
You really like your smoooooth FM soundz.
I know the song but I would never had got that in a million years from that description 😂

Say, would any of you fine hepcats with a copy of The Fall's Perverted By Language be willing to scan and upload it for me? Say 600 dpi so that I can safely expand and turn it into a poster? If you do, I will guarantee your passage into heaven when the time comes.

edit: This is a smaller version of what I've come up with. Basic, but seeking to mimic the sleeve as much as possible. I did add a slight gradient on the background colour, however.

Heston and I at a Swans show.
Alternately, me and Heston at a KISS show.

Well, you really didn't think they'd bust out "Moon River" in the second encore, but, bam, they did.

Thanks, man! I'll copy the painting and see if it looks better with that.

The Fixx still exist, release records, and tour around the world. How is this so? Who buys their records and, outside Northwest Hestonshire, goes to their shows? Does anyone here even know someone who calls themselves a FIxx fan? I'm genuinely baffled how bands like these remain an ongoing thing. (Actually, I'd be interested in a longish essay about those one-ish-hit wonders who manage to keep at it, not just doing the oldies circuit, but release new records. How do they survive?)

Didn't the Fixx have more than one hit? Red Skies at Night and the other one?

"One Thing Leads to Another" and "Saved By Zero" are the only ones I know. And neither were huge, as I recall. Enough to show up on volume 12 of an 80s box set, but not enough to crack the first five discs.
