“It was nice to have some time off, it really was,” said frontman Chad Kroeger. “But now it’s great that there’s this new excitement. I keep seeing things on the internet like, ‘You know what the world needs? A new Nickelback record.’ I’m like, really?”

I think he is taking this out of contaxt. I haven't read the article you quoted (sorry!), but people have been saying that because it will allow the world to unite against something. Like in movies when the world unites against aliens and countries like Iran and Israel band together. Nobody actually wants a new Nickleback album for the music.

If this analysis serves as prediction, I will welcome a new Nickelback album.

To be honest, I wouldn't know a Nickelback song even if the elevator I was in had an audio feed playing.
From what I see there's still a little hope

What we've long feared is now coming to pass. The 8 track micro-revival begins: https://www.creem.com/fresh-creem/sacre ... -van-zandt
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead

Bi pilot disorder. Is that when you don't know which plane to fly? Or when you're flying one plane but in your mind you're actually flying another.

I think it's a condition that affects people who fly old-timey planes in airshows.

The number of just fucking nuts, antisocial people in creative walks of life is astounding. When I was young and decided I wanted to be a scholar, I thought those people were just amazing. To write a kickass book must require being a kickass person. The amount of pettiness, absurd selfishness, and flat-out childish behaviour was an eyeopener. Just so many incidences of "what the fuck is wrong with you?" My reasons for not really striving to be an academic almost wholly relate to my own deficiencies, but I also feel like a dodged a bit of a bullet because the idea of being colleagues with so many lousy human beings is so distasteful.
