What about to write it?
As Geddy Lee said on Bob and Doug McKenzie's Great White North album, "Ten bucks is ten bucks."
I thought he said Take Off Hoser or sumfin like that
Earlier on the album, Bob and Doug brag about how they were getting ten bucks—"Each!"—for the album. When Geddy Lee shows up to sing on their single, "Take Off," he explains, "Hey, ten bucks is ten bucks." To Canadians of a certain age—like, 50–65 years old—that's been a go-to line about getting ripped off. It's also the sole redeeming part of Geddy Lee's public life.
Ok Im not sure I ever heard the whole thing. It got a fair amount of play on the radio in the US.
Very much a Canadian thing. In the early 80s, Bob and Doug were Canadian icons in a way that hasn't been replicated since.

Well they were on SCTV and Strange Brew is an underrated masterpiece.

Decades since I've seen Strange Brew, but I watch episodes of SCTV on youtube regularly.

I was probably drunk and/or high when I saw it but I laughed like hell. Plus getting Max Von Sydow to co-star.

Now I wanna get high

I like a handful of tracks from the first couple of records but after that they do little for me.

In a surprise move, the documentary is a love letter to New York City.

I suppose that if you go through his filmography, the clues are there that he likes New York.

If he really loved New York he would direct a Marvel movie...

Imagine my disappointment as a kid when I found out that actual square dancing isn't anywhere this entertaining.

Shitty band of white people sue black woman after they decided to make their name not so fucking racist.

Country group Lady A, which dropped the word "Antebellum" from their name because of the word's ties to slavery, has filed a lawsuit against a Black singer who has performed as Lady A for years.
