For Heston.

Answer to the question posed in the article: because the song is a hot pile of dog crap.

He gave it a B. I'm going to have to really disagree on that. D+ at best.
Hell yeah. That one was…not bad. Certainly the best ballad of that era. I can get behind all three singles from that album. Some nice pop sheen on everything. Better than all their minor key chanty songs they did on other albums to sound tough.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

The power ballad was definitely the go to for many 70's dinosaurs in the 80's. Some just did it better than others.

I've always been a sucker for there ones:

Yeah, I'll say those are marginally better. Reason to Live is still way better than "Forever."

Doing more of a deep dive into PiL with Levene's passing and holy hell this drumbeat is so offkilter:

The song is very unsettling because everything seems out of sync with each other.

The article is full of shit. The song never reached #4 in the UK at all, it made #33. It is fucking dire, and as I've always said, make up years and GGRARTY only for me.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Not everything has to sound like Robbie Williams …

He loves all KISS. He just wants to pretend he's discriminating in his tastes, but, c'mon, he's full-on psycho circus.

Major contender for my favorite track on that album.

"Four Enclosed Walls"—that drum pattern just imprints itself on the brain.

Crazy Nights is quite fun, I must admit. Not sure how it was a monster hit over here but did zilch over there.
