Massive Flex bait at the local fair this summer

Per a press release, the music lineup includes tributes to Michael Jackson and ABBA on Friday, August 27; a tribute to Elton John from the Contois Band on Monday, August 30; a Dave Matthews Band tribute on Tuesday, August 31; military appreciation band Iron Fists on Friday, September 3; Titans of ’80s Rock show featuring Bon Jovi, Poison and Def Leppard tributes on Saturday, September 4; and "mini country music festival" featuring the music of Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan and Eric Church.

Oh damn, I should just set up camp there for the summer.

The funny thing is in the past some of those actual artists played at the fair, including Elton John. I was gonna see Bob Dylan there last year but we all know what happened there.

Yeah but as Wolt pointed out no way in hell should Stryper be considered on the better side of shit let alone great. And I think Ozzy had somd good solo songs early on but instead this guy picks some latter day crap. I will say I dig Highway Star, a great song to play at high volume, especially while driving on an open road.

I agree mate and Highway Star is solid. The first couple of Blue Oyster Cult albums are also solid. Think there is just too much crossover with metal/hard rock etc.

Yeah, I've gotten really turned off by a lot of the sets lately. Just getting absurdly out of reach. I choked it down and shelled out for the beach boys new set coming out (which is less than half what this harrison set seems to be going for) but a bunch of these are coming in at multiple hundreds of dollars which is just insane.

I see this as being intended for a very narrow group indeed.

another issue with at least some of these sets - I know Marky has complained about this before - is that while they may include a bunch of additional music that's highly desirable if you're a mega-fan, a lot of times the remastering is complete garbage so if you're someone who pays attention to such things, it still probably doesn't replace your old CD or vinyl. And if you just want the music of the proper album as good as it sounds, you can probably pick up a cheap $2 CD or keep an eye out for the vinyl in a used record bin or whatever (not to mention downloads or streaming).
