Sure, the Beatles have a mortality rate of 50%, but there were only 4 members.

I actually think I read something about where the Ramones grew up having unusually high cancer rates and suspected a link to "forever chemicals" or something. Just pulling this from the recesses of my mind.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑08 Mar 2023, 2:04pmMan, that is jaw-dropping to see the ages listed like that. Was Ramones House built on top of nuke dump site?

Hard not to think there's something to that. That is, nothing conclusive or outside of statistical variation and the like, but enough to be suspicious.Flex wrote: ↑08 Mar 2023, 2:30pmI actually think I read something about where the Ramones grew up having unusually high cancer rates and suspected a link to "forever chemicals" or something. Interesting that Decay has the rights to that single now, my recollection from the original settlement is AT still has rights to the single. All time great 7inch. The socks would be kinda fun.

What, you don't want to be lectured for 5 hours by a guy who sounds like Punk Rock Liberace?

Damn. Of those choices, it’s Interpol or Arcade Fire, tho in both cases I don’t really go beyond their first two or three albums. I’m more a different stereotype, the old fucker stuck in 1979–1981.

Oh lord, not sure why I was listening to Illusion era GnR, but I found a particularly odious bit here on their cover of "Knocking on Heaven's Door", during the breakdown, Axl shouts "Give me some reggae!" and the band goes into some general approximation of a reggae bit. God it's so bad.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Thank you so much for including the time value in the URL so I didn't have to sit though 460 unnecessary seconds of that. What I did hear was a very tough listen.matedog wrote: ↑14 Mar 2023, 2:16pmOh lord, not sure why I was listening to Illusion era GnR, but I found a particularly odious bit here on their cover of "Knocking on Heaven's Door", during the breakdown, Axl shouts "Give me some reggae!" and the band goes into some general approximation of a reggae bit.
