Maybe Heston was the only participant in the poll.

Dire Straits define boring music for me.
Nah, I've never liked Dire Straits or been a fan of that strain of music, I thought you knew me better than that. I think Tom is the resident DS fan.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Dont mind DS, quite like Love Over Gold album, but mid 80s stuff is horrible. Money For Nothing and Twisting by the pool are two of the most annoying 80s tracks for me.

On that nme poll, don't think its that bad tbh. Only a couple of howlers there, would have expected more.

I think Knopfler is a fine enough guitarist, I've liked his work when he guests on stuff, but Dire Straits are pretty, er, dire.

Add Walk of Life to that list. Really annoying song.

I don't think I've ever listened to any of their albums, but I'll always stop to listen to Sultans of Swing if it's on in the market or radio or whatever.
WWK: I feel confident we haven't heard the last from Dr. Harvey Camel.

Yep. Romeo and Juliet features in my desert island discs, a perfect song.
