My ears detect a "B" sound at the start but hey.
Cheers Marky, defintely better than what was on google.
John, here's the isolated part of the vocal you need.

I still think it's "Blades of fire never cease".

Hope it's of some help.
Thanks mate! We're covering it at the Mensi tribute show so trying to get it bang on.
I've no doubt you'll do our departed brother justice. 😎 All the best mate.

Not really a misheard lyric, but with Bauhaus’ “She’s in Parties,” my brain changes it to “When she’s at parties / She’s in the can”.

It's a new one for me. Was just reading a Stuart Adamson book and it was mentioned in it. Apparently, Stuart was the one who gave them the okay to use the song and Jobson was furious with him because he felt it took the piss out of his very serious song.

It is a very serious song. But that was a funny add.

Yep all true though I expect Jobbo has long sinced mellowed. That video was posted 12 years ago. The add itself was from the early 80s. Stuart and Richard had a falling out.

Yeah, Jobbo is quoted extensively in the book and has a laugh about a lot of the early stuff. And is full of respect and affection for Stuart. I guess they were very different people and weren't really mates outside the band but what they had worked for a time at least and they made some pretty great music together.

Truly brilliant music. I'm looking forward to the new Skids album "Destination Dusseldorf" which is due soon.

I've heard the title song and it's quality so they've still got it for sure.
