It's a new one for me. Was just reading a Stuart Adamson book and it was mentioned in it. Apparently, Stuart was the one who gave them the okay to use the song and Jobson was furious with him because he felt it took the piss out of his very serious song.

Yep all true though I expect Jobbo has long sinced mellowed. That video was posted 12 years ago. The add itself was from the early 80s. Stuart and Richard had a falling out.

Yeah, Jobbo is quoted extensively in the book and has a laugh about a lot of the early stuff. And is full of respect and affection for Stuart. I guess they were very different people and weren't really mates outside the band but what they had worked for a time at least and they made some pretty great music together.
