Ringo's not so good with math. There's probably a drummer joke to be constructed from that.

He also uses punctuation like my dad. Appropriate, since he saw the Beatles on the Sullivan Show 50 years ago today.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑10 Feb 2021, 10:18am

I asked one of my sisters whether they watched the Beatles on Sullivan. She said, yup, the whole family did, including my parents. My dad's reaction was that John looked like he'd shit his pants. So, mark him down as not a fan.Kory wrote: ↑10 Feb 2021, 1:56pmHe also uses punctuation like my dad. My dad became a drummer as a direct result of that performance, which probably had a pretty big influence on me becoming a musician myself. SO THANKS, RINGO!Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑10 Feb 2021, 2:00pmI asked one of my sisters whether they watched the Beatles on Sullivan. She said, yup, the whole family did, including my parents. Just getting around to listening to this, was afraid to because Paul's voice is shot but its a really good album. Guy can write a catchy tune no doubt about thatSilent Majority wrote: ↑07 Jan 2021, 11:24amI agree.WestwayKid wrote: ↑07 Jan 2021, 9:15amI've really enjoyed McCartney III. It's sometimes off kilter, sometimes catchy, sometimes weird, sometimes brilliant...but everything adds up to create a very enjoyable listen.

Not sure if this is actually a thing in music, but a song where the chorus is virtually the whole point of the song and then the chorus doesn't return anywhere near the end of the song is a total vibe killer. I don't care how many times I listen to the above, I cannot believe that the final chorus ends at 2:30 of a 4 plus minute song and then we get bridge, verse and I don't know what (and no final chorus!). It is almost physically painful. Also, look at how rocking that song is from 2:15 - 2:30 (we've got Paul, Linda, Ringo, George Martin!) and then, ugh - the afterparty or something.

Listening to various cuts from the multi-volume Tuned to a Natural E by the Beatles Remix Group. Some stuff is weird without being interesting, other times there's some really cool stuff (such as "Pity Jude," which blends "Isn't It a Pity" with "Hey Jude"). There's also just a fun massive mix of their catalogue guided by the "The End":
Generally, tho, a wonderful collection.
edit: This is also cool, a blending of the various versions of "Revolution" into one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q4egqu6yfxcle ... n.m4a?dl=0

What do people make of this? I heard it on the radio without knowing it was Ringo's new song and I quite liked it. Then I found out it was Ringo and wasn't sure if I did or not.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board
