Newly discovered Lennon interview tapes from the late 60s. Nothing especially surprising from the brief story.

Guess I'm a little surprised he considered Revolution #9 one of his favorites, I can't get the needle off of the record fast enough when that track plays.
In 1969 and annoyed with being a Beatle, it makes a lot of sense.
I'm sure the 1969 part had a lot to do with it.
Especially given that by 1974 or so, he was more fondly regarding the early rock n roll songs of the Beatles. It's all reflective of his state of mind.

Ringo has a new song (and apparently a new hairstyle):

It's pretty lousy in my opinion, but then what was I expecting when I clicked play??

That was terrible. But then the idea of Ringo as a solo artist has always been absurd. Who exactly is his audience? Beatles completists and …?

It's funny because Ringo the man makes no sense as a solo artist but Ringo the 1973 album is a top 10, if not top 5, solo Beatles album.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead

I might agree, but in so doing that really condemns so many solo Beatle records. And, well, maybe yeah.

My wife hates it when I say stuff like I was better off or would be better off not knowing who ______ is or that they exist. The most recent example was that POS Elon Musk.

Being omnivorous with regards to information is a false god. Having wider knowledge can help us draw connections between diverse subjects, which is undeniably valuable, but I think they risk us being more distracted in our thinking and more prone to trivia than deep thought. Few people can pull it off.

Yup, but that was before he went to jail for the rest of his life.
