The Beatles song you're thinking about right now thread
Re: The Beatles song you're thinking about right now thread
After eight years of largely lackadaisical releases on Columbia, he is back with Capitol – the Beatles’ old label – and he seems serious about rehabilitating his somewhat tattered artistic reputation.

How fucking explicit would it have been on TV in '86? Bullshit, no. I'm with you. Hopefully the guy's become more enlightened over the last thirty years.

I would like to think it wouldn't be that hard to do so, unless he's willfully obstinate. I only see him at parties once in a while so I don't really know what he's like as a person.Silent Majority wrote: ↑23 May 2022, 1:17pmHow fucking explicit would it have been on TV in '86? Just to be clear, I wasn't defending Macca, I just think it would be funny for inder to ban kory for an actual good take

Rolling Stone gave it 5/5 stars and declared it "a return to form."

They'd later rehash the article for the Traveling Wilburys' debut album.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑21 Aug 2022, 11:30amRolling Stone gave it 5/5 stars and declared it "a return to form."

Have I ever mentioned my idea that the Traveling Wilburys concept is a subtle fuck-you from George to Paul? George hated Paul's Pepper idea, the whole idea that the Beatles should pretend to be another band. Just play music, don't come up with a moronic gimmick. So, what the hell is the Traveling Wilburys but a bunch of famous rock musicians pretending to be another band, except Paul isn't involved.

Also, a fuck you from George in that he finally had the opportunity to be in a band with people he actually liked.

Yes please! I don't always jump on the Beatles Super Deluxe train, but getting this one for sure.

Cool that they're trying new stereo mixes - I dunno if any of the new mixes of the other albums have become my go-tos but they're interesting. Booooo that they're not including a blu-ray. Since I got my Oppo universal disc reader a few years back blu-ray and sacd are the highest quality audio chain in my system and I've enjoyed the past blu rays. My rig isn't really set up to take advantage of hi rest digital streaming or downloads.
