When all those bands appeared, i had a quite irritating habit of saying "yeah, but The X or Y" did the same but better 30 years ago" which used to annoy the hell outta my then gf. She considered me a musical dinosaur and she definitely had a point. Definitely gave me a better handle on appreciating new bands on their own terms, though it still has its limits!Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022, 11:40amFF and Bloc Party both got tagged as Gang of Four heirs. Forty years later, this sounds out of time and fully mesmerizing. So simple but hypnotic.

Well, I had half a bottle of cheap rum and didn’t want to drink it on its own. Lacking any other delivery device, I dumped it in some orange juice (it was that, or almond milk). It all worked out.
