Haven't heard this in probably about 30+ years. I've got a whole new perspective on this song after hearing this version, this version blows the other one I've always heard away.

Forget A Day In The Life, Embrace did the better orchestral crescendo. Skip to around the 3:40 mark, or just listen to the whole track, it's a fucking monster.



Or try the orchestra mix for the ultimate bulge.

I did a lecture on studio musicians in 60s pop today and played a few clips, including The Byrds' "Mr. Tambourine Man," which was mostly played by the Wrecking Crew. I realized that I was a fool—I should have played the superior Shatner version. Rats.
