But, no, I don't want to make it seem like some kind of weird bonding ritual or anything, but growing up in a shitty isolated town, this was one of those things that you could look forward to, a way of hanging out with friends and arguing and shit. I frame it as more meaningful in retrospect; at the time, it was just fun, something to look forward to.
