Enjoying this tonight, should use random more often...

Radio - Ron Sexsmith
Shoop, Shimmy and Shake - Owen Gray
It's a Long Way To the Top - AC/DC
Closest Thing To Heaven - The Kane Gang
Yesterday's Papers - Stones
Holy Touch - Foxy Shazam
Get Over It - The Guillemots
Nice selection, didn't know all the artists so went exploring, that's what I like about this thread. It's a Long Way is a great song just take out any headphones before the bagpipe solo!

When I Need You - Leo Sayer
Fake Tales of San Francisco - Arctic Monkeys
Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve
2002 - Anne-Marie
December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night!) - Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons
(I Just) Died in Your Arms - Cutting Crew
Something Got Me Started - Simply Red
The Verve track is one of my all time favourites but everyone here seems to hate it for some reason. I should really hate that Cutting Crew track but I really like it.
Yeah it's a good track from The Verve though the rest of their material I find dull and overrated. As for Cutting Crew, I can't say I could name another track by them though that one is epic and I won't hear a bad word said against it.

Agreed on both points.

I think it's because when compared to their first album it's seems too much to be a cynical bid for radio play.

Doesn't seem that cynical to me. They're vamping on one riff for nearly 6 minutes with a vocal mantra that doesn't contain a lot of melody. It doesn't exactly scream "hit single" on paper. Yeah, the Stones sample is a good hook but it's still a bit left field.

...and that's where it should've been left in a field.

Seriously don't mind it at all. But with every England game you hear it as the link. I think it's problem is being overplayed.

The first XTC song I fell in love with as it was on "The Way We Were", a tv compilation of band appearances on So It Goes. I thought it was called "New York Shuffle" for years though, until I got the internet. What a great performance from Andy though, you would never think this man would be retiring from the stage within 5 years...

Proof that when a thread is called ''seven song shuffle'' five will do. ;)

Yep I've got that "The Way We Were" somewhere all great stuff. That version of ''Neon Shuffle'' is awesome.
