I used to play a few tracks pretty regularly from their debut album on my old radio show.
Re: seven song shuffle
All thanks to you my playlist has been updated from purely Phil Collins and the like. Since hearing Gogol Bordello from your bunch of fives, Deezer suggested a load of different artists and in turn, suggested another load of artists and here we are. Loving Real Mckenzies at the moment, such a good find and all down to you thanks mate!
Re: seven song shuffle
Thanks Tom. I like to think getting you to ditch Phil Collins was a group effort. But yeah its always fun to be exposed to and explore new music.BitterTom wrote: ↑21 Aug 2021, 3:09amAll thanks to you my playlist has been updated from purely Phil Collins and the like. So I was totally on board with the Pixies Debaser, great song, but the Van Halen just zero'd it out for me personally!BitterTom wrote: ↑04 Jan 2022, 4:19pmDebaser - Pixies (Fucking never tire of it)

Seriously though, it's a great cover and worth a listen.
Re: seven song shuffle
I'm familiar with it, agreed, not a bad cover, but I think the David Lee Roth part and all his "yeows" just gives me a rash.BitterTom wrote: ↑04 Jan 2022, 4:29pmThe best version for a boogieSparky wrote: ↑04 Jan 2022, 4:25pmSo I was totally on board with the Pixies Debaser, great song, but the Van Halen just zero'd it out for me personally!BitterTom wrote: ↑04 Jan 2022, 4:19pmDebaser - Pixies (Fucking never tire of it)

Tom, I love you man. But Van Halen's cover of "Dancing in the Street" better than Martha & The Vandellas ...it aint happening.

String section in the PC version nails it. Groove is more strident too.revbob wrote: ↑04 Jan 2022, 5:31pmThis like Heston and that awful cover PC does.Marky Dread wrote: ↑04 Jan 2022, 4:42pmTom, I love you man. There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board
