We were in Fresh Thyme last night and there was an aisle display of Gene's MoneyBag Vodka, which is produced by a Wisconsin based distillery. The display featured a life sized cardboard cutout of Gene (sans makeup). This is proof that Gene will sell anything, as he's gone on and on and on about how he never drinks alcohol. Heck, he can't even stand the smell of it...

My brother died of alcoholism. I vowed never to touch the stuff. Also,
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Re: The KISS thread
One of the special gifts of KISS is that their completist fans have had to buy—multiple times in multiple editions—so many absolutely wretched records, and even led some fans to convince themselves, no, this is actually good! Their shameless and greed must be laced with some malice, too.WestwayKid wrote: ↑27 Apr 2023, 10:49amhttps://web.archive.org/web/20030626074 ... lder.shtml

Re: The KISS thread
I like that he doesn't go obvious and say Gene Simmons. Paul Stanley gets to coast a bit in the duo by being less obviously shitty, benefiting from the power of relative comparison.
