Pumping gas and they're playing XTC (King For a Day) over the piped in music sound system.

It's a bit of a glossy production but I love the song.WestwayKid wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 11:50amPumping gas and they're playing XTC (King For a Day) over the piped in music sound system.

Agreed. One of my fave Colin Moulding songs. The counterpoint melody is awesome and the chorus is pretty killer. Entire first side of that album is great.Heston wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 12:18pmIt's a bit of a glossy production but I love the song.WestwayKid wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 11:50amPumping gas and they're playing XTC (King For a Day) over the piped in music sound system.

The only song I don't like on that side is the opener, Garden of Earthly Delights.WestwayKid wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 12:26pmAgreed. One of my fave Colin Moulding songs. There are parts of that song I like - but overall, yeah - the weakest of the first 4 tracks.Heston wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 12:30pmThe only song I don't like on that side is the opener, Garden of Earthly Delights.WestwayKid wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 12:26pmAgreed. I still quite like it, though I will accept that it’s the weakest in the technical sense.WestwayKid wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 12:37pmThere are parts of that song I like - but overall, yeah - the weakest of the first 4 tracks.Heston wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 12:30pmThe only song I don't like on that side is the opener, Garden of Earthly Delights.WestwayKid wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 12:26pmAgreed. Very few bad tracks in general. Heck, the worst XTC songs I can think of are still pretty decent.Marky Dread wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 8:30pmNo bad tracks on that album.Wolter wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 1:04pmI still quite like it, though I will accept that it’s the weakest in the technical sense.WestwayKid wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 12:37pmThere are parts of that song I like - but overall, yeah - the weakest of the first 4 tracks.Heston wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 12:30pmThe only song I don't like on that side is the opener, Garden of Earthly Delights.WestwayKid wrote: ↑09 Apr 2019, 12:26pm
